Phoenix
Convention Center
Phoenix is well on its way to joining an elite group of
cities—host of one of the top 20 convention centers in North
America. The new Phoenix Convention Center features an impressive
multi-level stone and glass atrium accented with a 90-foot oval
mirror created by sculptor Louise Bourgeois. The first phase of the
$600 million expansion was completed in mid-July with the opening of
the West Building. The second and final phase is scheduled to be
completed in 2008. With nearly 900,000 square feet, it can
accommodate most major conventions.
The four-story West Building includes 62,000 square feet of
underground exhibition space divisible into two halls, a large
registration area, and cafe, while the street level features 16
meeting rooms with 26,000 square feet of space, a stone and glass
atrium, business center, visitor's center, main box office, and
retail space.
The third level adds 21,000 square feet of high-level corporate
meeting rooms, and the upper level features a 45,000 square-foot
ballroom and a full-service kitchen. For more information, visit
