Skiing in the desert? You bet! With four ski areas offering
downhill, cross country, snowboarding, tubing, and more,
Arizona is a veritable winter playground.
Sunrise is Arizona's largest ski mecca with slopes
running down three mountains. Williams is a small, quiet ski
area that caters mainly to novice skiers and families.
Arizona Snowbowl is one of the oldest continuously run ski
areas in the United States while Mount Lemmon is the
southernmost ski area in the country.
If you're new to skiing and aren't sure you want to
invest in skis, boots, and poles, all the Arizona ski areas
offer rental equipment as well as lessons.
So grab your gear and make tracks to your favorite
slopes. The white stuff is here! |
