The Old West is alive and kicking in Tombstone, Arizona—the
"Town Too Tough To Die." August 11 - 13, 2006 is Vigilante Days
sponsored by the Tombstone Vigilantes. Events include a world class
10K run, a chili cook-off, shirt sales, a rifle raffle, and street
entertainment all three days.
October 20 -22, 2006 is Helldorado, Tombstone's largest and
oldest celebration, featuring street entertainment all three days,
kids' games, shirt sales, a piston raffle, and the area's largest
parade which kicks off at 11 a.m. on Sunday. Who knows, there just
might be a carnival this year. Helldorado, Inc is an all volunteer
organization.
May 26 - 28, 2007 is Wyatt Earp days, sponsored by the Tombstone
Lions Club, with three days of street entertainment, a chili
cook-off, shirt sales, a pistol raffle, as well as other activities.
The Tombstone Vigilantes host the "Showdown in Tombstone" which
consists of a costume competition open to all and invitational
reenactment competition open to groups from around the nation.
